Siemens Germany ties up with NVIDIA to build industrial metaverse

Siemens, a German engineering group, signed an agreement with US semiconductor giant Nvidia on the 29th to build an industrial metaverse. With Metaverse, an enhanced virtual reality environment, companies can reduce operating costs for factories and buildings and accelerate the design of new products.

At the same time, Siemens has launched a new open-type digital platform for the manufacturing industry, “Xcelerator.” The partnership agreement with NVIDIA will be the foundation of Xcelerator.

Xcelerator is a cloud-based platform that is part of Siemens’ ambitious goal of expanding its digital business by 10% each year. Following the partnership, Siemens’ Xcelerator will connect with NVIDIA’s 3D design platform, Omniverse.
