CATL will produce small lithium iron phosphate battery packs and large high nickel manganese cobalt battery packs for Ocean.
According to reports, Fisker and CATL confirmed a formal agreement to ensure the battery capacity of Fisker’s high-end pure electric SUV, Ocean.
According to the agreement, CATL will provide Fisker Ocean with two different battery solutions, including lithium nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) chemical batteries and the latest chemical batteries based on lithium phosphate (LFP) research and development. From 2023 to 2025, the initial battery capacity provided by CATL will exceed 5GWh per year.
